When Disney Channel renewed The Owl House for a second season before the season one had aired, audiences had high-hopes. During the first season, showrunner Dana Terrance and the creative team more than exceeded expectations, leaving fans eager for a second season.

Thanks to its vibrate world, engaging characters, and welcome LGBTQ+ representationThe Owl House has quickly gained a dedicated fanbase. With the season one set to join Disney+ in October 2020, more viewers will soon join Luz Noceda's adventures in the magical world of the Boiling Isles. Season one covered a lot of ground and promised further mystery and character growth. Here are 10 things fans are clamoring to see in the next season of The Owl House.

Major spoilers for season one ahead!

10 Lilith's Cursed Form

The Owl House's sisters Clawthorne, Eda and Lilith

A strength of The Owl House lies in the show's willingness to reach plot milestones quickly. The mystery of who cursed Eda the Owl Lady — Luz's witch mentor — could have been stretched out over the series. Instead, the penultimate episode of season one, "Agony of a Witch," revealed that Eda's sister, Lilith, was behind the curse. In the series finale, "Young Blood, Old Souls," Lilith helps save Eda by taking half of the curse onto herself.

After taking on part of the curse, Lilith remarked that her magic felt weaker. It's possible that the curse will cause additional complications. The curse caused Eda to transform into a large, out-of-control owl-beast periodically. Fans are eager to see if the curse will impact Lilith in the same way.

9 Origin Of The Owl House

The Owl House itself

After their arrival on the Boiling Isles, Luz moves in Eda and the adorable demon, King, to a magic cottage called the Owl House. It's everything audiences expect from a witch's house, complete with a sentient doorknocker/security system named Hooty.

Hooty's annoying personality is a source of humor for the show. But it begs the question of why Eda would incorporate such an annoying creature into her home. And if Eda didn't create the Owl House herself, who did? What are the odds that a young witch with an incurable curse would stumble upon a home that perfectly matches her curse and aesthetic? Like many things in The Owl House, there's more going on than meets the eye.

8 Amity Confronting Her Future

Amity Blight lies on her bed

School bully turned potential love interest Amity Blight was mostly absent during the final two episodes of season one. While the game-changing season finale left the Owl House residents' future in question, it also created new challenges for Amity.

Amity wants to join the Emperor's Coven, the most prestigious coven in the Boiling Isles. Amity also idolizes Lilith, the now-former Coven leader. The season one finale revealed a much darker side to the Emperor's coven system. There's also the matter of Lilith nearly killing Luz to capture Eda in the penultimate episode. Fans can't help but wonder how Amity will react when she learns these facts. Many fear this will cause a rift in Luz and Amity's growing relationship.

7 Mr. & Mrs. Blight

The Owl House's Amity Blight faces her parents shadows

While her older twin siblings, Emira and Edric, became instant fan-favorites, Amity's parents have become the target of much fan ire. In their first appearance, Amity's parents inform a young Amity that her best friend, Willow, isn't allowed to attend her birthday party because her magic hasn't developed yet. If that wasn't controlling enough, during a Reddit AMA, Terrace revealed that Mrs. Blight makes Amity dye her hair green. She wants her children "color-coded."

There's plenty of reason to believe the Blight parents will play a more significant role in season two. Many fans think they spotted Amity's parents during a flashback to Eda and Lilith's schooldays during the season finale. They're sure to have strong opinions about their daughter's crush on a human.

6 How Eda Met King

Eda and the demon named King, from The Owl House

How did the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles and a demon with a Napoleon complex become roommates? That's a question fans would love to have answered in season two. Eda and the tiny demon King are outcasts from their cultures, so their bond makes sense. That said, King did not know about Eda's curse until Luz came along. This suggests Eda was not entirely honest with King when they moved into the Owl House together.

Terrance mentioned in her Reddit AMA that the show will reveal how King chipped one of his horns. It's safe to assume that fans will be getting some backstory on this relationship soon.

5 The Magic System's Rules

The Titan's Bones from The Owl House

When teaching Luz about magic, Eda states that all magic in the Boiling Isles comes from a long-dead titan's bones, but she doesn't elaborate on this. It's rare for children's media to dive into magical theory. However, as season one progressed, it became clear that the ruling powers in The Owl House care a great deal about how people perform magic.

In the season's penultimate episode, Willow tells Luz that before the Emperor came along, "folks were doing magic all wrong." To explore what this means, The Owl House must be able to show its audience how its magic works in the first place.

4 Who Wrote The Good Witch Azura?

The Good Witch Azura Books from The Owl House

The Good Witch Azura, Luz's favorite fantasy book series, makes numerous appearances in the show. Luz brought the books with her from the human realm but soon discovered that they also exist in the Boiling Isles. Amity herself happens to read the series.

Fans believe that the Azura books have a greater purpose than to give Luz and Amity something to bond over. Who wrote the books and how the series is published in both realms remains a mystery. Popular fan-theories range from the Azura books being about Luz's mother to the books being written by future versions of Luz and Amity.

3 Who's Writing Letters To Luz's Mom?

The Owl House's mysterious letters

One of the biggest mysteries left unresolved from season one centers around Luz's mother. Camilia Noceda believes her daughter is attending Reality Check Summer Camp. This belief is reinforced by the fact she receives letters signed by Luz with updates about her camp experiences. However, Luz has not been writing these letters.

The mysterious letters were introduced in "Enchanting Grom Fight," easily the best episode of the season. In the same episode, the audience sees a note written by Amity Blight. This note revealed that Amity wanted to ask Luz to Grom, the Boiling Isle's version of Prom. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the way Amity wrote Luz's name in her grom note matches the way Luz's name is written in the mysterious letters.

2 The Owl House/Amphibia Crossover

Anne Sprig and Hop Pop Plantar from Amphibia

Also airing on Disney Channel, Amphibia is considered a sister show to The Owl House. Both shows fall under the "isekai" genre, featuring young women unexpectedly transported to dangerous magical worlds. While the worlds of the demonic Boiling Isles from The Owl House and Ampibia's amphibian-themed world are very different, the shows' overall tones mesh well together.

While fans often hope for impossible crossovers, this one has potential. During a Reddit AMA, Amphibia creator Matt Braly stated that a crossover between Amphibia and The Owl House was "very possible." Disney Channel is no stranger to television crossovers. Anyone who remembers That So Suite Life of Hannah Montana knows well how game-changing a Disney Channel crossover can be.

1 More Lumity

Owl House's Luz and Amity share a dance

Terrance has made no secret of her LGBTQ+ representation goals in The Owl House. The relationship between Luz and Amity — AKA Lumity — was met with both controversy and celebration when the ship became canon. In addition to making strides in representation for children's media, Amity's earnest crush on Luz adds to what makes the show so charming. Viewers recalling their own first crushes can easily relate to the confident Amity falling to pieces when Luz is around.

At the end of season one, Luz was unaware of Amity's crush. Fans look forward to seeing Luz and Amity's relationship progress as the Boiling Isles' mysteries grow around them.
