After what seems like an eternity of waiting, Disney has finally released the staff costumes for the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions. Taking fans to that galaxy far, far away, Galaxy's Edge is set to cement George Lucas' sci-fi world into Disney's theme parks. With patrons deciding which side they'll fight for, Disney staff will be decked out in some familiar regalia from the past 42 years of Star Wars. Fans are just a few months away from the official opening of Galaxy's Edge, but in anticipation, a showcase at Disneyland's Tomorrowland Starcade revealed what everyone will be wearing.

The “Costume Reveal Celebration” gave a first look at the Galaxy's Edge staff costumes. With the attraction set on the far-off planet of Batuu, it looks like there's plenty going on in the depths of space, and the park's official Twitter has been sharing various shots and retweets of what's been going on behind closed doors in the costume department.

In addition to uniforms for the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attractions, there's also a selection of outfits from the "Mix and Match" section that allows employees to assemble their own wardrobe choices. Disney staff (or Cast Members, as they like to be known) were treated to a secretive after-hours presentation, and security was a top priority, as Cast Members had to show their Disney ID to get inside.

In particular, the First Order outfits look like they're closely modeled on the uniforms audiences have seen since J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens in 2015. Disneyland President Josh D’Amaro showed off his shiny new badge, which is apparently written in English and the Star Wars language of Aurebesh.

Aside from Resistance and First Order outfits, there looks to be a good mix of different fabrics for "rogues" and "spies" to blend into the background of Batuu. There's plenty of hype surrounding Galaxy's Edge, and with promises of familiar characters and locations alongside cantinas serving actual alcohol, it sounds like Star Wars aficionados are in for an authentic experience.

Galaxy's Edge will open at California's Disneyland in June and will be followed by an unveiling at Florida's Walt Disney World in the fall. Of course, with the opening of Galaxy's Edge, some parkgoers are disappointed to learn that the price of admission at Disney parks is set to soar. However, it's clear that plenty of money has been spent on ambitious sets and movie-accurate costumes.
