Released in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is based on an 1812 fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm and is notably the first Disney animated motion picture. The story centers on a young princess who's forced to perform manual labor by her villainous stepmother, a Queen, who's jealous of Snow White's beauty. When the Queen sends a Huntsman to kill Snow White, she flees into the wilderness, where she befriends seven dwarves, each with distinct personalities.

Snow White will be the latest in a long line of live-action remakes of Disney animated films that already includes The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Mulan and more.
