Disney has set release dates for five currently untitled Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, those dates are Oct. 7, 2022, Feb. 17, 2023, May 5, 2023, July 28, 2023 and Nov. 3, 2023.
Exactly what movies will occupy those slots isn't known at this time. However, Marvel Studios is currently working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Captain Marvel 2, Ant-Man 3, Blade and several other movies, so it's possible that all or some of those might take one of those slots. It's also possible one or more of these films may see the introduction of the Fantastic Four or X-Men into the MCU following Disney's merger with Fox.
Added to previously announced titles and release dates, these new projects mean that Marvel Studios is currently planning to put out four films in 2022 and 2023. This is in addition to its slate of Disney+ tie-in series, which will affect the upcoming films.
Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow will be the next film in the MCU. That movie stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle and Rachel Weisz. The film arrives in theaters on May 1, 2020.
