The Marvel Cinematic Universe is rich with larger than life superhumans who have one focus, to protect Earth from local and alien threats. Disney on the other side has graced our screens with compassionate well-rounded heroines who are on their own personal journeys.

What happens when we combine the best moral characters ever created with the bravest? Some of the results are intimidating, some appear to be quite dangerous, and others are somewhat comical.  The one thing they all have in common is that they are all 100% original and unique.  Thanks to the fan artists out there, here is a list of 10 Disney Princesses as Marvel Characters.

10 Rapunzel As Thor

The artwork above was crafted by Christopher Stoll.

It's easy to see how this happened. Mjolnir appeared to Rapunzel and she was unable to lift it with her hands. Distressed and downtrodden she sulks back up her tower. Then in a final attempt, she flings her hair out the window and lassos the hammer. With a simple tug, Mjolnir flies from the ground and soars up the tower and lands perfectly in Rapunzel's hands. Seeing as a hammer didn't serve her needs, she crafts the hammer into a frying pan so that she would be able to cook breakfast for her stepmother. Well, either that or something else. Either way, this image tells an entire story.

9 Elsa As Scarlet Witch

Both Elsa and the Scarlet Witch's characters seem to have a stigma about them at some point or another.  The Scarlet Witch is put on lockdown with the avengers when she is unable to control her powers adequately.

Elsa removes herself from society after discovering how powerful she is. Both characters are too powerful for their own good and are not meant to be trifled with.  Those sentients come through clear as day in this creation by Kady Jaspersen. Not to mention in that awesome coat the cold wouldn't bother either one of them anyway.

8 Tiana As Nick Fury

Christopher Stoll also created this piece of art.

Everybody loves a Princess Tiana mashup. Combining her with Nick Fury is simply exciting. It's not clear where she is going or what she is leaving but one thing is for sure; staying far away from where ever she is will be the safest bet. Eye-patch and S.H.I.E.L.D. tattoo are the perfect accessories needed to turn this once hospitality professional into one inhospitable character. It doesn't take a lot of guessing to know that anyone who caries a handgun in one hand and a bazooka in another won't be taking any prisoners.

7 Moana As Captain Marvel

A search for identity and a sense of belonging is what unites these two characters. Not to mention the knack for traveling long distances. Does Moana as Captain Marvel bleed blue? Are her memories all real? Is there a cat on the island that is secretly an alien in disguise with the appetite of a voracious trash compactor?

Who even knows? With a planet (or island) of people (or refugee aliens) to save, this Moana is ready to go on the journey of a lifetime rocking her post-memory-recovery colors, a nice detail from the artist. An added bonus there is no need for her to navigate the ocean because now she can fly.

6 Jasmine As Iron Man

This artwork above is yet another Christopher Stoll original.

Perhaps a harder sell at first would be the idea of an Arabian princess Iron Man. That is, Princess Jasmine wearing futuristic Stark tech. However, it comes together really nicely.  The plated armor has a certain shingled layered quality to it that lends itself nicely to Arabic drapery.  The exposed midriff is a very smart adjustment to make for a character who would most probably be in the desert from time to time. The whole package is sleek without being scant. Functional without looking cumbersome.  The headpiece brings it all together which keeps her looking regal above all else.

5 Belle As She-Hulk

She has controlled the beast in the castle; but is Belle able to calm the savage beast inside? Belle as She-Hulk literally looks like she's ready to jump into the ring. Sporting the classic singlet and purple boots, it's clear that Belle is perfectly fine tapping into her mean, green side.

Apparently not everything in the world can be cured with a good book and a quiet place. Sometimes, even the quiet ones need to let loose and just break some stuff.

The artwork was made by Robby Cook.

4 Mulan As Hawkeye

With all of the intense training she underwent in order to join the fight against Huns, its no wonder Mulan decided to go the route of archer mercenary Hawkeye. Being swift as the coursing river isn't the only thing super cool about this persona. Mulan's traditional garb has been updated to be more functional as activewear while still staying true to the original concept.  It's 2020, and there is no need to conceal your gender. Especially when no one is going to live long enough to remember seeing your anyway. But just in case you do manage to get a glimpse of MuHawk, she's got a lovely flower in her hair for you to compliment just before she releases the arrow.

3 Snow White As The Hulk

The She-Hulk and Snow White mash-up artwork was provided by Christopher Stoll.

One part young princess who loves apples and about a million times not so jolly green giant. This gender-bent interpretation of The Hulk is nothing if not inspired. This is what happens when a princess is forced to live in a house with seven tiny men who won't put down the seat. Hi-ho, hi-ho it's off to smash she goes.

The dwarfs can't blame this one on the time of the month. Clearly someone either didn't do the dishes or maybe Sleepy had a narcoleptic episode in the middle of a chore. Whatever the cause, Snow White as the Hulk is no pushover. I just hope those little guys have got a really heartfelt apology, or at least a really good hiding spot.

2 Ariel As Black Widow

A well thought out metaphysical take on Ariel as Black Widow--as Ariel. Kudos to Christopher Stoll for taking the idea of a mash-up and not going with the easy approach. Instead of Ariel in Black Widow garb, we have Black Widow essence fully expressed in an Ariel character. The result is a dark, seductive and dangerous mermaid who is very possessive about her stuff. It didn't take too long for her to realize that dingle-hopper was not just a great grooming tool, but that it could also double as a projectile weapon.

1 Pocahontas As Captain America

Christopher Stoll closes out the list with Pocahontas as Captain America. For the grand finale here is something, smart and political all at the same time. Pocahontas looks phenomenal with a corsetted version of Captain America's costume with matching boots and shield in tow. It doesn't look like this Pocahontas is going to be wasting any tears when you litter in front of her. She might just decide to throw you out with the trash. The detail of the leaf on the shield is excellent in bringing in the whole motif together. Beyond color, creed, or gender this Native American is absolutely here to protect us all.
