Star Wars: The Bad Batch is getting a second season on Disney+.

"The entire Lucasfilm Animation team and I would like to thank Disney+ and our fans for the opportunity to continue telling the story of the Bad Batch," executive producer Dave Filoni said.

Spinning out of Season 7 of The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch centers on Clone Force 99, a group of clone troopers with favorable genetic defects that make them proficient in skills such as sharpshooting, tracking, strength and intelligence. However, early on in Season 1, Crosshair defects to the Galactic Empire while the remaining members of the Bad Batch are joined by Omega, who's later revealed to be the sister of Boba Fett.

"Giving new and existing fans the final chapter of Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been our honor at Disney+, and we are overjoyed by the global response to this landmark series," Disney+ Senior Vice President of Content Agnes Chu said when The Bad Batch was announced. "While the Clone Wars may have come to its conclusion, our partnership with the groundbreaking storytellers and artists at Lucasfilm Animation is only beginning. We are thrilled to bring Dave Filoni's vision to life through the next adventures of the Bad Batch."

Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch has yet to receive a premiere date.
