After fans noticed a change made to the Han Solo/Greedo exchange in Disney+'s upload of A New Hope, they began combing through all of the Star Wars films to see what else, if anything, had been altered. One of the most remarkable changes is the lightsaber duel between Obi-wan Kenobi and Darth Vader aboard the Death Star.

One of the tweaks that eagle-eyed fans will notice is the color of Obi-Wan's lightsaber, which Disney has stabilized in Jedi light blue. In previous versions, it went from being so pale that it looked white to a rich royal blue.

The other major change happens when Darth Vader and Obi-Wan's lightsabers clash. Previously, when the lightsabers touched, there was only a zooming sound effect, Now, there's also a misty rain of particles that look, alternately, like water droplets or sparks. This is similar to when Rey and Kylo Ren connect via the Force in The Last Jedi while she's watching the sea spray of Ahch-To and he's observing sparks fly in the First Order hangar.
