They are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him.

Overflowing with spontaneous lunacy, surprising guest stars and more frogs, pigs, bears (and whatevers) than legally allowed, the Muppets cut loose in “Muppets Now” with the kind of startling silliness and heartfelt fun that first made them famous.

Created by Jim and Jane Henson, The Muppets first appeared in Sam and Friends in 1955. Since then, they've gone on to appear in several different television shows, movies and various other media. Disney acquired the rights to The Muppets in 2004. Muppets Now was announced at the 2019 D23 Expo as part of the slate of original content meant for Disney+. Another Muppet-centric series Muppets Live Another Day was canceled after receiving a pilot order, which was set to be written and produced by Josh Gad.

Muppets Now will release July 31 on Disney+.
