Disney+ hosts a variety of Christmas films, from Disney's CGI adaptation of A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey to Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. When typing "Christmas" into the search bar of the streaming service's app or website, Iron Man 3 also appears at the bottom of the holiday-themed list.
While this might seem jarring, the story of Iron Man 3 does take place during the gift-giving season. The movie's director, Shane Black, often incorporates Christmas themes in his filmography. With scenes that include Christmas trees, music and presents, it's safe to assume that Iron Man 3 -- at least under Disney+ standards -- is a Christmas movie.
Because of its Marvel affiliation, Iron Man 3 joins an expansive list of fan-favorite superhero blockbusters on Disney+. Other movies include the Avengers saga, Captain Marvel, the Captain America franchise, both Guardians of the Galaxy films and much more.
