Jeremy Renner may have revealed that a fan-favorite comic book character will be joining the Hawkeye series on Disney+.

Renner posted a picture on Instagram featuring cookies in the shape of a Hawkeye logo and a bullseye. "Hey, look what I found... not sure if it’s a dog biscuit ... what do you think ?" he wrote. This appears to hint at the appearance of Clint Barton's faithful canine Lucky the Pizza Dog.

In the first arc of Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye run, titled "My Life As A Weapon," Clint encounters Lucky as he battles the Tracksuit Mafia. Lucky turned on his former masters, and Clint eventually comes to care for the dog.

Concept art for the Hawkeye series has teased Lucky's appearance, as well as Clint relocating to San Francisco and training Kate Bishop as his protégé. Hailee Steinfeld has been rumored to portray Kate, while another rumor suggests Florence Pugh will reprise her role as Yelena Belova/Black Widow. Production on the series temporarily halted due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but filming is set to take place in Brooklyn starting this week.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton, a role he first started playing in 2011's Thor. The series is expected to follow Clint as he trains Kate Bishop to become the new Hawkeye. The show is also expected to examine Clint's time as Ronin, the superhero identity he took during the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton. The Disney+ series has yet to receive a premiere date.
