Disney+'s Hawkeye series may have its sights set on a fall 2021 premiere date.

Eternals star Lauren Ridloff shared a photo alongside Hawkeye's Alaqua Cox, writing, "Echo and Makkari looking at you, Fall of 2021." Echo and Makkari will notably be the first Deaf superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Created by David Mack and Joe Quesada, Echo debuted in 1999's Daredevil #9. The character is a Deaf Native American whose abilities allow her to mimic the movements of her opponents, much like the villainous Taskmaster. Shortly after Hawkeye began production, it was announced that Echo would feature in the series, and in late March, it was also reported that the character would headline her own Disney+ spinoff, though details remain scarce.

Announced in April 2019, Hawkeye centers on Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton as he passes the bow and quiver to Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop. The series is expected to draw heavily from Matt Fraction and David Aja's acclaimed Hawkeye comic run, with Lucky the Pizza Dog and the Tracksuit Mafia all factoring into the show in various capacities.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton, a role he first started playing in 2011's Thor. The series is expected to follow Clint as he trains Kate Bishop to become the new Hawkeye. The show is also expected to examine Clint's time as Ronin, the superhero identity he took during the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Jolt as Pizza Dog/Lucky, Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Fra Fee as Kazi, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne/Swordsman, Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo and Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez. The Disney+ series has yet to receive a premiere date.
