Canadian X-Men fans have quite a few reasons to rejoice. Eight of them, in fact, since that's how many of the Fox-made Marvel mutant movies have been added to Disney+ north of the border.

Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox meant that, while most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be available on Disney+,  Fox's X-Men movies would not. However, according to Heroic Hollywood, X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse are now all available to stream in Canada.

X-Men fans might notice a few holes in the additions, especially the absences of Dark Phoenix and the R-rated Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and Logan. This, of course, is because of Disney+'s billing as a family-friendly service, however, it's possible the PG-13 Dark Phoenix could still arrive at a later date.

Still, regardless of what Canada audiences can expect, it will likely be a while before U.S. subscribers can enjoy any of the live-action X-Men films, R-rated or not.

Disney+ is now available in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand, with content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.
