As The Falcon and The Winter Soldier continues principal photography, Marvel Studios has provided a first look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe incarnation of US Agent set to appear in the Disney+ miniseries.

Marvel's Disney+ special Marvel Studios: Expanding the Universe debuted concept art of the conflicted antihero in his usual comic-accurate costume. Wyatt Russell was officially announced as portraying the character in August during Marvel Studios' presentation at the D23 Expo in Anaheim.

Filming on the series began last week, reuniting longtime MCU stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as the two heroes navigate a world without Steve Rogers as Captain America. While the two heroes attempt to live up to Rogers' legacy, Zemo returns to strike following his imprisonment at the end of Captain America: Civil War.

Created by Mark Gruenwald and Tom Morgan in 1987's Captain America #333, John Walker took on the mantle of Captain America following Rogers' disagreements with the federal government. Defeated by Rogers, Walker would create the superhero persona US Agent as he continued with his jingoistic agenda. The character also has strong comic book ties to Doctor Karl Malus, who appeared in Season 2 of Netflix's Jessica Jones.
