If this doesn't scare you, nothing will: Disney is planning to make a live-action Cruella de Vil movie.

Aline Brosh McKenna, writer of Disney and director Kenneth Branagh's upcoming Cinderella, has been hired to recast the 101 Dalmatians antagonist in a feature film all her own. It's Disney's second attempt at turning one of its classic villains into a new franchise player, following the in-production Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie.

There's no word on casting, but here's an interesting wrinkle: Glenn Close, who played the character in 1996's 101 Dalmatians and its sequel 102 Dalmatians, is on board the film as an executive producer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Perhaps a reprise is in the mix?
