It is still bad news for fans who wish to own a physical copy of any of the Marvel shows on Disney+, like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, as there are still no plans to release any of the Marvel series on DVD or Blu-Ray.

It is becoming clear that when Disney advertises its streaming service as being the exclusive home of these shows, it really means that it is the exclusive home of these shows.

Kevin Feige first discussed the lack of physical media being in the plans for the Marvel shows on Disney+ back in January, when he was asked about it and replied, "Is Mandalorian on Blu-ray?" knowing that neither of the two seasons of that Lucasfilm series have been released on physical media, either. He continued, "The truth is, I don't know. That's a good question for which I will look for the answer. I don't know," but he then added, "You can pay a very low fee per month and have access to something that you can put it on your TV whenever you want!"

This is not good news for those fans who are interested in the series but without access to a streaming service or without the desire to subscribe to one, but that undoubtedly is part of the appeal on Disney's side of things, as if you can only get these shows on Disney+, then the company assumed that they you will, in fact, get Disney+.

However, it is worth noting that Pixar's Soul debuted on Disney+, as well, and yet it has also been released on DVD and Blu-Ray, so it seems like there was some hope that the other programs might follow suit. Those hopes were seemingly dashed recently when a reader asked TV Line Editor-in-Chief, Matt Webb Mitovich, during a reader Q&A, about the chances of seeing the Marvel shows on Blu-Ray. He replied, "Ooh, interesting question, especially for those who love their physical media. Alas, I am hearing that at this time, there are no plans to do so. But never say never!"

The fact that there is no definitive "these shows will never appear on physical media is what fans are going to have to cling to in this situation if they are hoping to be able to watch a DVD collection of WandaVision like the DVD TV collections that Wanda watched with her family growing up in Sokovia.
