Marvel is making Ms. Marvel's AvengerCon a reality at this year's D23 Expo.

As reported by Marvel, any fans that "weren’t able to make it to AvengerCon this year" can stop by the Marvel Studios booth to see "the wildly popular display 'THINGS HULK SMASHED'" as well as take a photo op with the display like Kamala (Iman Vellani) and Bruno (Matt Lintz) did in Ms. Marvel. Those attending 2022's D23, which runs from Sept. 9 through 11 at the Anaheim Convention Center, can find the Marvel Studios booth at W15 in Hall B on the main show floor. In addition to the "THINGS HULK SMASHED" display, which features a bunch of things that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk has smashed, the Marvel Studios booth will have exclusive poster signings and a wide range of costumes from recent Marvel productions like Moon Knight, WandaVision and Thor: Love and Thunder for fans to take in.

The inaugural AvengerCon appeared in Ms. Marvel's first episode, "Generation Why," which saw Kamala sneak out of her house to attend and participate in the Captain Marvel cosplay contest at the New Jersey convention. AvengerCon was held at Camp Lehigh, considered by many MCU citizens to be the "birthplace" of Captain America, and featured everything from real cosplayers to superhero merchandise to a giant Ant-Man head. The scenes set at AvengerCon were widely considered by Marvel fans to be some of the best scenes in Ms. Marvel's premiere episode. However, according to Ms. Marvel head writer Bisha K. Ali, fans could have been treated to even more of AvengerCon if the creative team had stuck with its "bananas first draft" of the episode which reportedly had a lot more MCU Easter eggs.

AvengerCon Lives as DC FanDome Dies

Marvel Studios bringing AvengerCon to life comes shortly after Warner Bros. Discovery announced that its DC Comics-themed virtual event DC FanDome would not take place in 2022. "With the return of in-person events, Warner Bros. Discovery is excited to be able to engage with our fans live at numerous comic-cons around the world and will not be scheduling DC FanDome for 2022," the company said in a statement. DC FanDome was first held in 2020 over two days and returned in 2021 for a single day. The virtual events were universally praised by DC fans for showcasing sneak peeks at upcoming films, television series, video games and comic book titles.
