Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown may be leaving the Upside Down for a galaxy far, far away.

According to Mirror, Brown has held secret talks with Disney executives, including Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, about joining the Star Wars universe. The actor currently stars in Netflix's Stranger Things, where she earns $1 million an episode. Sources state a potential role in Star Wars could make her upwards of $15 million because of "how much of an icon she is already for the 10 to 30-year-old audience and what that brings in terms of appeal."

"Millie is on Disney’s radar for the new Star Wars projects," the source for Mirror continued. "She’s had contact with Kathleen, who is aware of her desire to feature in a movie or play a central role in one of the new TV projects for Disney Plus." The conversations are currently informal with no deals set or in the works at the moment. However, there's mutual respect between both parties and a desire to find something that works for Lucasfilm and Brown. The source added that "she doesn’t need to audition – it’s more a case of how the director and her bond. She has the gravitas to hold down the lead for that universe."

Brown first appeared as Eleven in Stranger Things back in 2016, which garnered her worldwide recognition and acclaim. She has since reprised the role in the subsequent seasons of the popular Netflix science-fiction drama series and is set to return as Eleven for the series' upcoming fifth and final season. The actor made her feature film debut in 2019's Godzilla: King of Monsters as Madison Russell, a role she reprised in 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong. She also starred in Enola Holmes for Netflix as the titular female sleuth and younger sister of Sherlock Holmes. A sequel for the streaming service is currently in post-production.
