Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ series Hawkeye has added three directors to its roster.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood will helm "a block of episodes" for Hawkeye. Known collectively as "Bert and Bertie," Finlayson and Ellwood are known for directing the 2019 Amazon Prime Video film Troop Zero. Bert and Bertie are joined by Rhys Thomas -- known for his directorial work on Comrade DetectiveSaturday Night Live and John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch -- who will also helm episodes for Disney+'s upcoming superhero series.

Part of Marvel Studios' first wave of Disney+ original series, Hawkeye will see Jeremy Renner reprise his role as Clint Barton/Hawkeye from the Marvel Cinematic Universe's films. The series is also set to introduce the Marvel Comics character of Kate Bishop/Hawkeye. The show's plot is said to involve Clint passing the superhero's mantle on to Kate.

However, it is uncertain when Hawkeye will hit the small screen, with the release windows for Marvel's Disney+ lineup having been affected by the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It is the fourth series in Marvel's first wave of Disney+ programming, and will arrive sometime after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki. Future Disney+ originals from Marvel Studios include She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.
