Disney has named Craig Hunegs as the new President of Disney Television, effective once its acquisition of Fox is final.

Hunegs, who was the President of Business and Strategy at Warner Bros. TV and the founding President of Warner Bros. Digital Networks, will now oversee operations at ABC Studios, 20th Century Fox TV and Fox 21 Studios once the merger is completed.

The respective heads of those studios (Patrick Moran of ABC Studios, Jonathan Davis and Howard Kurtzman at 20th Century Fox and Bert Salke at Fox 21) will retain their positions, but will now directly report to Hunegs.

More former Fox executives will be retained following the completion of the deal as well. Dana Walden will take over the role of Chairman of Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment, while her fellow Fox veteran Peter Rice will assume the position of Chairman of Walt Disney Television and co-chair of Disney Media Networks.
