Disney Eyes Female Sleuth Movie

Mere months after acquiring the rights to Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, Disney is nudging another female detective toward the big screen.

Heat Vision reports the studio has bought an untitled project by newcomer Ashley Bradley that will be produced by Green Lantern co-screenwriter Marc Guggenheim and his partner Alisa Tager through Collider Entertainment.

Guggenheim, co-creator of ABC's Eli Stone and a writer of such comics as The Flash and The Amazing Spider-Man, launched Collider with Tager in 2010 at Comic-Con International.

Although plot details are scant, the movie apparently centers on a young woman who discovers she's the descendant of a legendary detective and is forced to take up the investigative mantle.
