“Tony Stark has influenced, from design, everything about Avengers Campus," Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Creative Executive Scott Drake said at the event. "So making sure that we can deliver on Iron Man, this is huge for us to not only deliver on such an iconic character, but designing it again with Ryan Meinerding and making it something that can walk among us, be right there. We’re going to be meeting him daily.”

Dan Fields, Executive Creative Director of Disney Parks Live Entertainment, added, “This is a Disney Parks exclusive suit from the Iron Man arsenal. This is the Mark 80. You will only find it here."

Guests will have a chance to meet and take pictures with Iron Man in the park, alongside other Marvel heroes. Although Marvel Cinematic Universe fans know that Tony Stark gave his life to stop Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, the Avengers Campus story takes place in an alternate universe, confirmed Walt Disney Imagineering staff writer and Avengers Campus story lead Jillian Pagan. In this one, Thanos's apocalyptic snap never happened.

Avengers Campus is scheduled to open in Disney California Adventure on July 18.
