Disney has officially laid claim to five dates between July 2017 and December 2019. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio plans to release films like "The Jungle Book 2," "Maleficient 2," "A Wrinkle in Time" and more in those slots.

The report indicates that Disney has locked down July 28, 2017; April 6, 2018; Aug. 3, 2018; December 25, 2018; and December 20, 2019, in addition to a handful of previously announced dates. According to studio insiders, those dates will potentially go to "The Jungle Book 2," "Cruella" starring Emma Stone, Ava DuVernay's "A Wrinkle in Time," "Jungle Cruise" starring Dwayne Johnson, Tim Burton's "Dumbo," a "Mary Poppins" sequel from director Rob Marshall, Angelina Jolie's "Maleficent 2" and director Lasse Hallstrom's "The Nutcracker."

The recently announced "The Jungle Book 2" will followup Jon Favreau's "The Jungle Book, which is currently in theaters and has already earned more than $393 million worldwide.
