Today saw the release of both the first feature-length Aladdin trailer and also a new poster to promote the next Disney live-action film.

Of course, one thing that is particularly noteworthy about the new poster is that Will Smith's Genie is not blue.

When the first look at Genie hit online in December, he also wasn't blue. Then, when the teaser trailer hit in February, Genie was blue -- and was mocked harshly online for his appearance. However, the reason for the changes in color is explained in the new trailer itself

In the new footage, Aladdin finds the magic lamp and after he rubs it, the Genie comes out -- large and blue, as seen in February. There is more to see here, though, as he breaks out in a song-and-dance number before the trailer moves on.

When it's time for Aladdin to make his move and try to get to know Jasmine, he is talking to the Genie -- who is no longer blue. It's obvious from the trailer that the Genie may have been blue to start off when coming out of the lamp, but he changes appearance as the movie progresses.
