"Director's Cut" Versions of "Star Wars" #1 and "Darth Vader" #1 Coming in June

Marvel's "Star Wars" #1 and "Darth Vader" #1 will get the "Director's Cut" treatment, with new editions including script pages and early artwork.

Marvel's current "Star Wars" line has been a major success for the publisher thus far in 2015 -- remember the million-plus reported sales of January's "Star Wars" #1? -- and now two early issues will get a second life in a new form. On Tuesday, Marvel announced "Director's Cut" editions of both "Star Wars" #1 by Jason Aaron and John Cassaday and "Darth Vader" #1 by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca.

The Director's Cut comics will reprint each first issue in full, along with pages of script and early artwork. Both are scheduled for release on June 17, and the art released by Marvel puts the cover price at $5.99 each.
