Because of his contractual obligations to Mission: Impossible 6, Henry Cavill famously sported a mustache during the extensive reshoots for Justice League, causing Warner Bros. to spend a considerable amount of time and money to digitally remove Superman's facial hair in post-production. The result ... wasn't good. However, as the work of one fan community demonstrates, it could've turned out just fine, at a significantly lower cost.

In stark contrast to Justice League's reported $300 million budget, someone from DeepFakes Club purchased a $500 used computer, and used the group's own free software to teach an A.I. how to remove Cavill's mustache in footage from a variety of sources. You can see it in action in the video below.

The A.I.'s success is best demonstrated in the final clip, in which its CG "shave" is compared to, frankly, weird-looking footage from the opening scene of Justice League.
