Digimon is no doubt one of the greatest pieces of media that have ever graced this planet. It's spawned a successful anime series with nothing but excellent seasons, countless videogames, and tons of great movies. One of those movies being the best depiction of the internet in film bar none.
However, even with all these amazing series assets, there may be nothing that gets fans more excited than a good Digivolution. Yeah, the Digimons' rookie forms are really cute and all but you just can't help but get hyped when you see these guys Digivolve, especially when the mega forms are involved. Speaking of mega, let's take a look at the best Mega Digivolutions, shall we?
10 ROSEMON
The rose-like pixie Digimon is the embodiment of love and beauty and carries a jewel that promises beauty and power. This Digimon is feminine and its only wish is to be forever beautiful.
Rosemon is very self-conscious and not the most powerful Digimon around but when the situation calls for it, it will step up to the competition. If it runs into a wild Digimon there is no problem as it possesses the technique Thorn Whipping, which can tame any Digimon. When placed under a spell they become the ancient Digimon Babamon.
9 METAL ETEMON
It almost feels like any Digimon top 10 list concerning the actual Digimon would be incomplete without everyone's favorite chimpanzee digital monster. Etemon is one of the most popular Digimon in the series due to its comedic nature, strength, and its very charming design. Its Mega Digivolution takes it to the next level.
This android Digimon calls itself the "King of Digimon" and is on the hunt to fight the strongest opponents around. After meeting multiple opponents for data, Etemon has settled on upgrading itself past its weaknesses by adapting with a metal exterior.
8 ALPHAMON
The humanoid Digimon clad in black armor. This Digimon is suited with wings and his mighty sword Ouryuken. The armor isn't worn for no reason either. Alphamon is one of the Royal Knights of the Digimon universe along with the likes of Digimon like Crusadermon and Examon.
Not only is it a member of the Royal Knights but it is also classified as a Holy Knight Digimon, a guardian deity of the Digimon Computer Network. In possession of the X-Antibody, Alphamon can protect his realm without fear of the deadly X-Program.
7 SERAPHIMON
Seraphimon is an Angel Digimon and one of the greatest heroes of the digital world. He is the highest-ranked Angel Digimon and rules over the rest of his kind. Clad in holy armor that hides his identity and equipped with 7 golden wings, he is the closest being to God in the realm.
This Digimon is classified as a Celestial Digimon and is a protector of God's laws. Legend tells that once the final battle versus evil starts, he shall come down and purify everything. The lore behind him makes him one of the most badass Digimon ever.
6 GALLANTMON
The Exalted Knight Digimon is another member of the Royal Knights. Not only is he a Knight but a pilot, as well as he pilots the rocket-like vehicle the Gran. His godlike holy armor was created from 99.9% Chrome Digizoid, one of the strongest super-metals in the Computer Network.
This Crimson Knight may be one of the protectors of the realm but he is technically a virus. That means he is a potential threat to the Computer Network. However, that is a minor setback to this guardian deity as he still does whatever he can within his power to keep the Digital world safe.
5 METALSEADRAMON
The second android Digimon of the list, making its appearance in a big way. MetalSeadramon is among the most fearsome Digimon that you do not want to encounter. Despite his name indicating that he's a water Digimon, he is able to operate on land and sky as well.
This beast of a Digimon is covered from head to tail in Chrondigizoit Alloy, the strongest metal in the Computer Network. This gives him the ability to reflect any incoming attack with ease. Don't let that heavy metal fool you though, he's still the fastest Digimon in the sea.
4 TYRANTKABUTERIMON
This bug Digimon goes by the title "The King of Insects" as it rules over the rest of the insect-kind in the Digimon world. It has no legs, many wings, and is equipped with a cannon inside its head's mouth. His shell is made from Chrome Digizoid and is nearly impossible to even scratch for any regular Digimon.
Tyrant rests deep in the darkest part of the forest called the Under Forest and doesn't move during the day. Instead, it uses its power to manipulate insect Digimon to fight so it doesn't have to.
3 VICTORYGREYMON
This is another Digimon that wears a Chrome Digizoid armor. This Digimon goes by the title of Dragon Warrior of Heroes and his equipment suits this powerful title. Armed with his legendary sword the Dramon Breaker –which he can break apart and attach to his arms– he uses his very unique battle techniques and swordmaster style to cut down any foe. The power of his sword also allows him to reflect other Digimon special moves.
VictoryGreymon has an evolutionary code like no other. It is said that he comes from a Digi-Egg that was created by artificial means.
2 BEELZEMON
There is absolutely no way to have a top 10 Digivolutions of any variety without Beelzemon making an appearance. This is one of the most badass Digimon and you can tell why with just one look. It looks like it jumped right out of Devil May Cry.
The look isn't the only reason Beelzemon makes the list, however. It is an evil Digimon and is one of the Seven Great Demon Lords. It has so much power that it could easily rule over the rest of the Devil Digimon but it's so badass that it would much rather live as a lone wolf.
1 WARGREYMON
We're sure you all saw this coming. WarGreymon is most likely the most iconic and well known of all the mega Digivolutions in the series much like the rest of the Greymon family. Unlike them, however, it has a more humanoid appearance while still retaining much of the look that the Greymon species is known for.
This vaccine-attributed Digimon is another wearer of Chrome Digizoid armor and is nearly impossible to defeat. It is also called one of the Dramon Killers as its arms are the direct counter to the Dramon. In Digimon lore, once a veteran warrior's true hero awakens to its own mission, it Digivolves into this brave dragon man.
