Since Marvel Studios' announced a Fantastic Four movie was in the works, there has been widespread speculation and plenty of rumors concerning which stars could make up the iconic comic book superhero family. The latest subject of those rumors is Andor star Diego Luna, who recently dodged a question about any potential role.

Speaking to Kristian Harloff on The Sith Council, Luna touched on the topic of the Fantastic Four rumors, dodging it and stating instead, "I was talking about that this morning-- like the rumors. When you become part of rumors, half of the rumors were real, you know. It’s just incredible the amount of stuff that I see now out there." He then added, "The only thing I can tell you is that, for the next two years, I’m busy. In two years, we’ll see if what I want to do is even film."

Unconfirmed rumors suggested Luna was being considered for the role of Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic. Those rumors were sparked by scooper CanWeGetSomeToast on social media. But Luna is far from the first actor currently believed to be in the running for the role. It was previously rumored that Lucifer star Tom Ellis was up for the role. There has also been speculation that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star William Jackson Harpe is actually playing Reed. At the time of writing, Marvel Studios has made no official announcements.

What About John Krasinski's Reed Richards?

Following several years as a popular fan casting choice, actor John Krasinski made his debut as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, as one of the founding members of the superhero think-tank, the Illuminati. Like many of the characters in the otherworldly team, he was killed by a rampaging Scarlet Witch. While there are some who continue to hope Krasinski will keep playing the Fantastic Four hero, the actor himself has seemingly confirmed he will not be returning.

He previously explained, "There aren't any discussions at all, the only discussion I had was actually in the second-to-last week of Jack Ryan... Kevin Feige called and said would you ever fly to L.A. and play in our sandbox for a day? I was honored to do it. I flew right from Budapest when we wrapped and went right to the Doctor Strange set. I’m a big fan of all those characters and that world, so to get to play in that sandbox for one day was a real thrill."

Director Sam Raimi, who headed the Doctor Strange sequel, similarly cast doubt on Krasinski's return. The filmmaker hinted that Marvel Studios president and chief creative officer Kevin Feige simply allowed the fan casting choice due to the fact that the scene involved took place in the multiverse, technically outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four does not currently have a release date.
