While talking to the Nerdist Channel's Comic Book Club, longtime Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy let slip that he'd been recording voices for an DC Universe Animated Original Movie based on Flashpoint. The Nerd Bastards crew were listening in and transcribed Conroy's quote:

Oh, I just, just last night, I recording a new animated movie … that features The Flash, it’s more about The Flash, but Batman is in it as well. It’s a Flash … Flashpoint! Flashpoint? I think it’s Flashpoint.

DC Comics' 2011 Flashpoint crossover placed Flash Barry Allen in an alternate universe that wound up merging the DCU with Wildstorm and Vertigo to create what would be known as the New 52.

Even with such deep continuity roots, it would not be beyond the realm of possibility to take the basis of the story and tell it in an hour and a half. This could also be a way for the DC Universe Animated Original Movies people to make the transition into features based on the New 52 versions of characters, though the existing films are not necessarily all linked in the same continuity. With word on this making the rounds, don't be surprised if DC and Warner Bros. makes an official announcement in the near future.
