DC President Diane Nelson brought LEGO haute couture to the "The LEGO BATMAN" premiere in Los Angeles by wearing a Bat-tastic jacket made with over 10,000 LEGO bricks.
Nelson enlisted the help of Los Angeles-based LEGO artist Nathan Sawaya for what DC called on their blog a "bat-couture" jacket, featuring the visages of both Batman and The Joker. DC Comics states that the jacket took Sawaya 100 hours to create.
You can view even more detailed photos of the jacket over on DC's blog.
Want your own "LEGO Batman"-themed jacket? You'll just have to make your own! According to DC, the jacket took Sawaya 100 hours to create and is truly one-of-a-kind -- so unless you're crafty with the bricks, you'll just have to by a regular cloth Batman jacket like the rest of us.
The jacket is inspired from an earlier Bat-themed sculpture by Sawaya, "Necessary Evil," which is currently on display in "The Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes" exhibition, touring worldwide.
"The LEGO Batman Movie" stars Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes, Zach Galifianakis, Jenny Slate, Jason Mantzoukas, Conan O'Brien, Doug Benson, Billy Dee Williams, Zoe Kravits, Kate Micucci, Riki Lindome, and Eddie Izzard. "The LEGO Batman Movie" flies into theaters February 10.
