Diablo IV offers a diverse selection of five character classes, each bringing its unique abilities, strengths, and weaknesses to the battlefield. Before diving into the game, players should consider which class best aligns with their preferred playstyle.

While no character class outshines the others, some truly excel in particular scenarios. For example, a novice player tackling the game solo might appreciate the Barbarian's formidable health pool and raw damage output. On the other hand, seasoned veterans may prefer a more strategic class, such as the cunning Rogue. With a versatile roster of characters, Diablo IV ensures that players of all skill levels and preferences will find a suitable hero for their adventures.

Barbarians Are Good for Dealing Substantial DamageBarbarian with weapons and lion draped over shoulders for Diablo 4 game

The Barbarian has been considered a high-damage giving and taking class within the Diablo series, which continues in the fourth game. The straightforward nature of this character makes it an ideal choice for beginner players. However, seasoned gamers shouldn't overlook this class either, as the added class mechanic allows them to create unique and powerful builds. The Arsenal System is unique to the Barbarian and will enable them to carry up to four different weapons. Players can use this to switch weapons during the battle in order to get the most out of their Barbarian skills, which frequently work better when combined with the right one.

Use Magic or Shapeshift With the Druid

The Druid class is a hybrid and is focused on both melee and ranged attacks. Its unique style isn't particularly tailored to any specific player, although it could benefit from having the support of a team. Despite not being the strongest option, this class has a plethora of entertaining skills from which to choose. Druids are capable of turning into powerful creatures -- either the Werewolf or Werebear. While each shifted form has its own advantages, both deal large amounts of damage at close quarters. In addition, Druids can summon animal companions, like wolves or ravens, to help attack enemies. This class can also use Nature based spells, such as Lightning Storm or Hurricane, both effective at neutralizing large areas.

Necromancers' Greatest Skill Is Summoning Undead Armies

Necromancers are wielders of dark magic, using both the resource Essence and Corpses of slain enemies to cast powerful skills and talents. This class has long been associated with the Diablo series, is well-suited for new and seasoned players, and can make solo runs easier. While Necromancers tend to be fragile, creating a balanced build that protects the player while dealing significant damage is possible. Some of the best methods for attack with the Necromancer are via the undead armies summoned with the Book of the Dead. Players can summon armies of Skeletal Warriors or Mages, both of which can be customized to defend against attack. They can also opt to call a singular massive golem to divert attacks from nearby foes.

Rogues Have a Versatile Set of Skills

Rogues excel at switching between ranged and close-quarter combat, including attacking with weapons and strategically placing traps to slow enemies. Their versatility in combat options makes them ideal for people playing in groups, while their strong base skills can make fights easier for newer players. Unique to the Rogue class, players can also gain Combo Points, which are used to upgrade Core Skills up to three times, imbuing them with more strength. They are also able to imbue their weapons with Cold, Poison, or Shadow magic. While these versatile characters have many tricks in their arsenal, it will take practice to use them, as positioning on the battlefield can mean the difference between success and failure.

Easily Take Out Crowds With the Sorceress

The Sorceress is a challenging class that is better suited for experienced players who are more capable of using and upgrading their skills mindfully. These characters are superior at dealing severe damage to a large area, and players should aim to keep them in a ranged position. While skills like Flame Shield and Ice Armor can help increase their defense, this isn't a close combat class overall. The Sorceress also slowly replenishes Mana, which makes it imperative for skills to be used wisely. However, beginning at level 15, the Sorceress can assign an active skill as an Enchantment slot. This allows the skill to be used passively, which grants bonuses separate from their active state.

Each of the five available Diablo IV classes is well-suited for different types of playstyles, which makes it imperative for players to be aware of their capabilities and strengths. While some classes, like Rogue and Druid, can be tailored to suit different styles, others, such as Sorceress and Barbarian, must be more focused in their approach.
