Dexter Showrunner Sells New Show To HBO

A new crime series from former Dexter writer and executive producer Clyde Phillips on HBO that, he promises, will be full of "powerful and challenging scenes"? How long do we have to wait for The Naked Truth to begin, exactly...?

Truth, an adaptation of an Israeli crime drama, will be Phillips' first post-Dexter project. The show focuses on the investigation into the disappearance of the child of a wealthy family and, Phillips told Deadline, focus on "the cops encountering people on the worst day of the citizens' life... It's a bit of an exploration of the middle class and the challenges we all face; it's a heartbreaking story about a family in a time of crisis and how everyone deals with it." Mirroring his role with Dexter, Phillips plans to write and executive produce this new series.
