The next installment of Capcom's popular Devil May Cry series is coming next year and the latest trailer promises plenty of the franchise's signature demon-hunting action with three playable characters.
Premiering at last night's The Game Awards in Los Angeles, Capcom has released a full trailer for the upcoming action-adventure title which provides the franchise with a return to form after 2013's attempted reboot of the series with DmC: Devil May Cry.
Series mainstay, Dante, returns in his classic form, reunited with Nero, the Demon Arm-wielding protagonist of 2008's Devil May Cry 4. The trench coat-wearing, white-haired duo are joined by V, a new playable character that summons a variety of demon familiars to aid him in battle.
Xbox One users will have exclusive, early access to a playable demo of Devil May Cry 5, available to download today. Capcom's hack-slash franchise has had something of a resurgence lately with the upcoming game and an animated series adaptation in development by Castlevania executive producer Adi Shankar, announced last month.
Devil May Cry 5 is developed and published by Capcom. It will be released on March 8 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
