As well as releasing a brand new trailer, Detective Pikachu has released a new, gorgeous poster showing the Pokemon world of Ryme City in all its nighttime glory.Posted by the upcoming film's official Twitter account, the poster shows the titular electric rat Pokemon and his human partner, Tim, overlooking the city as they investigate the mysterious disappearance of Tim's father.RELATED:Â Ryan Reynolds Explains How He Became Detective Pikachu in Hilarious Video
The beautiful nighttime cityscape shows a skyscraper for Professor Oak's business as well as Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff and Psyduck hanging out in what appears to be an apartment.
In the distance, Charizard can be seen flying above the city but a more interesting sight in the background comes from the top of the third skyscraper to the left. Upon closer inspection, the figure of Mewtwo can be seen menacingly staring down Detective Pikachu and Tim, potentially confirming earlier rumors that the psychic Pokemon would serve as one of the film's central antagonists.

Directed by Rob Letterman, Detective Pikachu stars Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Ken Watanabe and the voice of Ryan Reynolds. The film opens in theaters on May 10.
