With the live-action Pokemon film Detective Pikachu opening in theaters everywhere in less than four months, the Warner Bros./Legendary Entertainment production has released a new official still from the film.

The photo shows the Ryan Reynolds-voiced eponymous Pokemon alongside Justice Smith's (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) character, Tim Goodman, evidently confronting something nefarious. With the machinery and industrial parts seen in the background, it appears the crime-solving duo have snuck into a factory or manufacturing plant of some sort in their case to learn what happened to Tim's missing father.

Detective Pikachu had reportedly been partners with Tim's father, Harry, before his disappearance, with his son as the only human that can actually understand the electric-powered Pokemon.

When former Pokemon trainer Tim arrives in Ryme City to learn what became of his father, he teams up with Detective Pikachu to discover an even larger threat endangering the entire world. Judging by the new image, it appears the duo have stumbled across what appears to be this mysterious threat.
