Although Detective Pikachu was released both physically and digitally in August, there are still people who haven't had a chance to see the live-action Pokemon film yet. To help entice them, Warner Bros. UK has released the first 10 minutes online.

The movie begins with Mewtwo waking up in a lab, something that will bring back memories and several questions for long-time fans who have played Generation I Pokemon games such as Red and Blue. After freeing himself from his pod, Mewtwo escapes and attacks a fleeing car. The film then immediately transitions to a contrasting bright landscape showcasing several Pokemon and introduces the main character, Tim Goodman (played by Justice Smith), as he attempts to catch a Pokemon, making viewers immediately forget the prior grim scene.

Fans have expressed how excited they are to get a teaser of the film, however, many have stated that they were disappointed that it wasn't another video of Pikachu dancing, referencing a previous video that had been advertised as a "leak" of the full movie.

Directed by Rob Letterman from a script written by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, Detective Pikachu stars Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Ken Watanabe and the voice of Ryan Reynolds. The film is currently available on Digital HD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
