One of the seasonal offerings from the Eververse store in Destiny 2's Season of the Chosen is the new Worldshaper ornament. This ornament reskins the Izanagi's Burden Sniper Rifle, which already resembled a large sword, into something that looks very similar to the weapon used by Berserk's main protagonist.

Destiny 2 has made references through their Ornaments before, but typically these are internal references about content that's on its way into the game. A standout example are Ornaments for the Telesto. Both Reef in Ruins and Dread from Below seemingly hinted at future content that'd be seen in Forsaken and Shadowkeep, respectively.

No One's Burden

Izanagis Burden Destiny 2

Izanagi's Burden is a powerful Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2. While not quite as unstoppable as it used to be, the gun can still deal massive damage with a single shot. The weapon's exotic trait allows bearers to hold the reload button to reduce the size of the clip, but each round forfeited adds increased damage and range to the round fired. With a four-round clip, sacrificing three extra shots nets players a colossal damage increase.

Getting the Izanagi's Burden was a trial of its own, but one well worth the weapon's capabilities. Originally players would undergo a lengthy quest that involved obtaining a Mysterious Box and unlocking it with keys rewarded by completing specific tasks during the Forge Ignition activities. From there, players would need to delve into Raids, complete special versions of Strikes and rare bounties available at the time. Luckily for players now, obtaining Izanagi's Burden is much easier; it's available for purchase through the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower, though it'll set Guardians back an Exotic Cypher.

Worldshaper Destiny 2 Feature

For those interested in the Worldshaper Ornament, it's available to purchase through the Eververse store. This can be accessed from Tess Everis in the Tower or from the Director's Store tab. It'll run players 700 Silver, which comes out to about $6.99. Once purchased, the Ornament that appears in the player's inventory must be opened before it'll be equipable from the Izanagi's Weapon Cosmetics menu.

Dragon Slayer

The Worldshaper Ornament is almost a direct representation of Guts' Dragon Slayer sword from Berserk. A weapon crafted by a blacksmith who'd grown tired of the frivolous weapons nobles requested, he set to work creating the blade when the nearby King ordered a sword to be forged that was capable of felling dragons. The result was a weapon deemed too unwieldy for use in actual combat, and the blacksmith fled to his mine after having his life threatened by his liege lord.

Guts in Berserk.

Years later, Guts would stumble upon the sword while fighting a demonic Apostle and found that he could wield it with ease, dispatching the foe in two strikes. The blacksmith, shocked by the way Guts was able to handle the weapon, allows the hero to take the Dragon Slayer and use it during his quest to eliminate the Apostles along with any other demon, spirit or monster that crosses his path.

The Worldshaper Ornament reflects the Dragon Slayer's massive size and the same rough iron look of the metal and wrappings on the grip. Though some have likened the cosmetic item to the Buster Sword used by Cloud in Final Fantasy VII, it much more closely resembles the infamous weapon from Berserk.
