Marvel/DC rivalries be damned! "Jessica Jones" star Krysten Ritter and "Supergirl's" Melissa Benoist praised each other's super performances via social media despite their shows' rival properties and wide divide in tone. Ritter kicked things off with a post to her Instagram, explaining how she'd worked with Benoist early in Benoist's career and lauding how far the "Glee" actress has come since.

Had a second to get caught up on my non #jessicajones TV and wanted to give a special shout out to my girl @melissabenoist ! I've been a big fan of hers since she first landed in LA. I met her early on when I was casting a show that I was producing and it was clear even then, fresh off the boat, that she was poised to be a big star. I'm so proud and happy for her for landing a part that she totally shines in. Funny, strong, adorable, and radiant! Congrats fellow superhero lady! Much love! 💪🏻💪🏻👊🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️ A photo posted by Krysten Ritter (@therealkrystenritter) on

In response, Benoist took to Twitter to discuss her experience watching "Jessica Jones" and how much she enjoyed Ritter's performance.

Just made my day @Krystenritter ❤️sending love right back to you. Binged #JessicaJones and 😲 it's insanely badass & you are way too talented- Melissa Benoist (@MelissaBenoist) November 30, 2015
