Readers of Hank Ketcham's Dennis the Menace have no doubt long suspected that, lurking just beneath the signature cowlick and impish grin simmered a barely contained rage. Good ol' Mr. Wilson certainly suspected it; no doubt even dim-witted Joey knew the score. And in "Menace," it's finally unleashed.

In the fan new fan short, written and directed by Dennis Doucette (who also stars), an adult Dennis Mitchell -- still clad in red overalls and wielding a slingshot -- channels that anger through his life as a vigilante. It's probably more productive than that lemonade stand.

Be sure to stick around after the credits, where we see Dennis hasn't lost touch with the old neighborhood.
