Season 3 of the wildly popular Demon Slayer will focus on the Swordsmith Village arc and just like the previous arcs, it's certain to be an exciting adventure. After chipping his sword fighting during the Entertainment District arc, Tanjiro must now head to the village of the swordsmiths in order to fix it. Of course, the journey isn't an easy one.

The demon slayers are strong with much of their strength being largely attributed to their swords. If the demons take out the root of their strength -- in this case, the swordsmiths who are responsible for making and sharpening the swords -- then it makes much easier for them to wipe out the demon slayers. It'll be up to Tanjiro and his friends to defeat them. Here's what you can expect in the thrilling Swordsmith Village arc.

The Love and Mist Hashira Join the Fight

Demon Slayer Season 3 Mist and Love Pillars

So far, Tanjiro has interacted with four of the nine Hashira in Demon Slayer. While Tanjiro stays at the village to get his sword fixed, he meets two other Hashira, Muichiro Tokito ,the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira. Mitsuri is delighted to see Tanjiro while Mitsuri is as distant as ever.

In the arc, more information will be divulged about the two Hashira. Muichiro is unintentionally aloof and often acts on logic, acting on what he believes is of the highest priority. But he wasn't always this way. When he became a Hashira, Muichiro had lost his memories, leaving behind a painful past that will soon come back.

As for the Love Hashira, most people would brush off Mitsuri as not being a threat, but she is incredibly strong with her ability to make her muscles eight times denser. Similar to Muichiro, her past will also be revealed and her struggles with finding a husband. This arc will give fans the opportunity to see the two Hashira fight alongside Tanjiro and his friends.

Genya's Past Comes to Light

Genya Shinazugawa in demon slayer angry

Genya is first introduced in Season 1 as a hot-headed and mean-spirited demon slayer. Unfortunately, Tanjiro and Genya don't get off on the right foot, with Tanjiro breaking his arm in the Final Selection when he grabbed Kanata's hair. Genya hasn't been in Demon Slayer a lot but all of that will change in the upcoming arc.

He and his brother, the Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa, have a strained relationship. In fact, Sanemi seems to really hate his brother. But it hadn't always been like this. This arc will reveal what happened in their past as well as why exactly Genya can't be a Hashira.

The Demons in the Swordsmith Village Arc

Tanjiro has met his fair share of formidable demons and faced off against both the Upper and Lower Rank demons with Daki and Gyutaro being the most recent foes he fought with. The village gets targeted by Hantengu, who is Upper Rank Four, and Gyokko, Upper Rank Five. As both of these demons are of a higher rank than Daki and Gyutaro, it'll be difficult defeating the both of them -- even with the Love and Mist Hashira there.

Hantengu's strength comes from the ability to clone himself with each clone being just as strong as his primary form. Gyokko prides himself as an artist, but his artwork are sadistic and grotesque with him using people's corpses to create his idea of what art should look like.

Nezuko Discovers a New Ability

Nezuko is trapped and uses her blood demon art

Ever since Nezuko was turned into a demon, it had been Tanjiro's mission to find a way to turn her back into a human. Slowly, he realized that there was something about Nezuko that made her different from regular demons. Aside from her remarkable self-control over her hunger for humans, Nezuko's Blood Demon Art is unique. She had used Exploding Blood to help strengthen Tanjiro's sword to help defeat Rui and she was able to heal Tengen when he had been severely injured.

But that's not all, Nezuko has another ability that will explain why exactly Muzan chose to turn her into a demon rather than kill her. However, the discovery of this power will put her in more danger than before.
