These may relieve some fans who wondered whether Demon Slayer was worth $60, with some feeling it lacked enough anime-inspired action. Demon Slayer launched in the West on Oct. 15, 2021, to mixed reviews, with some expressing disappointment over its interpretation of the beloved anime. Other reviewers found Demon Slayer captured the original's spirit perfectly, noting its graphics quality while noting that criticism over its somewhat lackluster gameplay was valid.

The game follows the same premise as the first season of Demon Slayer with aspects of the 2020 film, Mugen Train. It follows a young man named Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Semon Slayer Corps after a demon named Muzan Kibutsuji murders his family and turns his sister into one of its kind. Over the course of his journey, Tanjiro connects with new faces, some of which appear as playable characters in the game.

The Character Pass and Tengen Uzui Pack are available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
