A new trailer for Demon Slayer-Kimetsu no Yaiba-The Movie: Mugen Train has debuted via the official AniPlexUS YouTube channel. The trailer features new footage from the film, which will take place after the end of Season 1 of Demon Slayer. The trailer also ends with the words "Coming in 2021".

It is unclear when exactly in 2021 the film will debut. However, the release date is for the English localized edition; the original version of the film will hit theaters in Japan on October 16.

Based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotōge, Demon Slayer focuses on a boy named Tanjiro whose village is attacked by demons. Tanjiro encounters demon slayer Giyū Tomioka, who suggests he learns the way of Demon Slaying. Tanjiro learns the art of Water Breathing, which greatly enhances his ability with a sword and leads to his joining the Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro is known for having a jet-black sword, which serves as a foreboding omen.

Mugen Train will adapt the manga storyline of the same name. The storyline features Tanjiro and his fellow demon slayers assisting the flame wielding Rengoku in his investigation of disappearances that have occurred on the titular train. However, the last of the Twelve Kizuki Enmu has set a trap for them.
