A talented Demon Slayer fan shows how they created a stunning portrait of the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui.

The new painting, and the video documenting the process behind its creation, were put together by an artist known online as @yuet_mei0826. The talented painter shows how their portrait of the most flamboyant Hashira went from a black-and-white line drawing to a fully colored and rendered water color painting. The video illustrates the level of skill and attention to detail that the artist puts into their works, as they use impressively steady brush work to fill in all the tiny details on Tengen's flashy costume and weapons.

More of @yuet_mei0826's work can be seen on their Instagram profile, where they posted paintings (and similar making-of videos) of a number of other Demon Slayer characters, including central protagonist Tanjiro Kamado, the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku and the Upper Rank demon Doma.  They also frequently post art from other popular anime and manga series, including One Piece and Berserk.

First glimpsed during the Hashira Meeting arc, Tengen Uzui takes center stage during the events of the fan-favorite Entertainment District arc, where he leads a team consisting of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko and his three ninja wives into battle against the Twelve Kizuki member Daki and her sadistic brother, Gyutaro. The animated adaptation of the arc made up the bulk of the Demon Slayer anime's second season, which recently concluded on Feb. 13 with a special extended-length episode. Dedicated to being as flashy as possible, the Sound Hashira was the center of attention during the tenth episode of the arc, which garnered widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike for studio Ufotable's incredible feature-quality animation and action choreography.

The producers of the anime have already confirmed that the show will continue with an adaptation of the Swordsmith Village arc. While Uzui does not play a major role in this part of the story, two other Hashira will: the air headed Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the affectionate Love Hashira Mistsuri Kanroji. The new continuation of the show was announced alongside the reveal of two new pieces of art of the Hashira. The arc sees Tanjiro traveling to the home village of the Demon Slayer Corps' blacksmiths in order to get his Nichirin katana repaired once again. A premiere date for the show's third season has yet to be announced.

The complete Season 1 and Season 2 of the anime are now available for streaming from Funimation and Crunchyroll. Koyoharu Gotouge's original manga is available in English from VIZ Media.
