As a demon, Nezuko is shown to be different right from the get-go. Not only is she a half-demon, but she is also shown to be more powerful than most demons she has come across. She is able to use her intelligence as well as her physical prowess to be a threat to most characters in Demon Slayer.
But as strong as she is, Nezuko still isn’t half as powerful as some of the most dominant characters in anime, especially from the shonen genre. There are at least 10 anime characters who can easily defeat this half-demon in a battle.
10 Accelerator (A Certain Magical Index)
Most people may not know about him since his anime aired over a decade ago. Those who do know him are aware of his powerful psychic abilities. He can erase people’s memories, reverse the flow of blood inside people’s bodies and his Redirection ability helps him change the direction of all projectiles aimed at him.
There is no way a mere half-demon like Nezuko would be able to penetrate his barrier, leave alone put even a tiny scratch on his body.
9 Lelouch (Code Geass)
Nezuko is no stranger to the power of suggestion. Sakonji Urokodaki was able to hypnotize her easily, while she also quickly succumbed to Tomayo’s spell of suggestions (which makes demons mentally weaker).
Thus it is easy to deduce that Nezuko would not stand a chance against Lelouch’s Geass powers. All he has to is to suggest her to kill herself, and he will have won the battle instantly.
8 Bishamon (Noragami)
As the Goddess of War and Warriors in the Noragami series, Bishamon is a force to be reckoned with. No God dares to cross her path, and for good reason. Apart from her excessive otherworldly powers, experience in battle, and sheer intelligence, she also has her shinki to help her.
Right from whips to long-range guns to acting as power amplifiers, her shinki can easily help Bishamon win a fight against Nezuko within mere seconds.
7 Alucard (Hellsing)
Alucard possesses every power that a demon does and more. He is an immortal like Muzan and his body is composed of an otherworldly material that would be impossible to defeat or kill.
Not to mention how he has to only use his power of hypnosis to put Nezuko under his control, and then use his telekinesis to throw her body around and around till it’s damaged beyond repair.
6 Rimuru Tempest (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime)
Like Thor, Rimuru is a God. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but his powers put the powers of other Gods to shame. Rimuru can easily freeze time, travel through space and time, and even destroy universes again and again.
There is no way Nezuko can even lay a finger on him. He will simply snap his fingers and create as many alternate timelines as needed. Or simply freeze time and kill her – whatever power he’s in the mood for using!
5 Kaguya (Naruto)
Kaguya becomes unstoppable after she consumes the fruit of the God Tree. Teleportation and inter-dimensional travel are just two of her canonically infinite powers. The question isn’t about if Kaguya will be able to defeat Nezuko, it’s about when and how.
One of the easiest ways for her to get Nezuko would be to put her into a false state of dreaming. When her guard is down, Kaguya would strike and kill the half-demon in one swift attack.
4 Claire (Claymore)
As a half-human herself, Claire is perhaps the only one who is on Nezuko’s level. Except when she goes into her Awakened state, of course. The strong flow of Yoki within her mutates her appearance, amplifies her powers, and makes her unstoppable.
Even if she was not using her powers at max, her powers during her normal state are enough to defeat Nezuko. Claire can also easily defeat her with her advanced knowledge of battle and level of intelligence, both of which Nezuko lacks.
3 Saiki Kusuo (The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K)
Saiki Kusuo may appear to be a simple school going teenage boy, but his powers and abilities can easily rival those of many Gods. Astral projection, x-ray vision, telekinesis, teleportation, mind reading, mind control, invisibility, etc are just among the many powers he possesses.
To defeat Nezuko, he would simply have to take control of her thoughts. Being a sweet guy, he would simply make her want to quit fighting him, rather than defeating her and humiliating her in battle.
2 Giorno Giovanna (Jojo's)
Giorno makes his appearance in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5. One of his best weapons is Gold Experience which gives him the power to create or manipulate life. However, his ultimate weapon is for sure Gold Experience Requiem.
So if Saitama does manage to catch him off guard in a battle and land one or two punches on him, all Giorno has to do is manipulate his willpower and make Saitama do his bidding.
1 Muzan (Demon Slayer)
Without a doubt, Muzan is the strongest demon alive in the Demon Slayer universe. Manga spoilers ahead! Even when he is killed, he first has to be subdued by many people, and even then Tamayo has to inject a cure/antidote for his demon condition, which weakens his body.
Without that antidote, it would have been impossible to kill him. So despite all her strength and humanity, Nezuko would have easily lost to Muzan.
