Deep-Sea Horror Manga '6000: Rokusen' Sets Course For Hollywood

Veteran producer Mike Medavoy has partnered with All Nippon Entertainment Works to adapt the deep-sea horror manga "6000: Rokusen," Variety reports.

Created by Nokuto Koike, the manga is set 6,000 meters beneath the Philippine Sea, where an accident kills the entire crew of a research facility. When a new team is sent three years later to re-establish the facility, they struggle against the claustrophobic environment, horrifying visions and a hidden danger lurking within.

ANEW has a handful of other live-action adaptations in the works, including "Ghost Train," "Birthright," "Soul Reviver" and "Gaiking."
