Award-winning comic book creator Jonathan Hickman is teaming up with fan-favorite artist Mike Huddleston for a new Image Comics miniseries Decorum next month, veering into sci-fi psychedelia as it follows an assassin through time and space.

First announced this past December, the eight-issue miniseries takes place in a fantastical world filled with contract killers while blending familiar historical elements in a meditation of intergalactic colonialism. The debut issue's covers illustrated by Huddleston, a mind-bending variant cover illustrated by Jamie McKelvie and unlettered preview pages are below.

Decorum is the latest in a line of celebrated sci-fi titles co-created by Hickman, featuring his signature, expansive world-building, seen in previous titles including East of West, Manhattan Projects and more. Hickman is currently overseeing the relaunch of Marvel Comics' X-Men line through its Dawn of X publishing initiative.

Huddleston has worked extensively with DC Comics, including the WildStorm title Gen13 and a Man-Bat miniseries. Judging by the preview, readers are in store for an immersive world that recalls the Age of Discovery, with plenty of sci-fi sights including robotic conquistadors and psychedelic galleons exploring the cosmos.
