Death of Superman, Reign of the Supermen Receiving Theatrical Releases

Warner Bros. Animation's 2018 film The Death of Superman and its yet-to-be released sequel Reign of the Supermen will be hitting select cinemas for a special two-day double feature event in January 2019.

According to ComicBook.com, the screenings, which are being hosted by Fathom Events, will take place on Sunday, Jan. 13 and Monday, Jan. 14, with both films being screening in succession. Tickets for the event are available at Fathom's website.

This means that those who attend the event will be among the very first to see the brand-new film, as Reign of the Supermen will not be released on Digital until Jan. 15, with an Ultra HD/Blu-ray following on Jan. 29. Following its home release, Reign of the Superman will also be added to the DC Universe app.

"Superman is one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, and this double feature event will give fans an opportunity to come together and celebrate the franchise, Fathom Events VP of Studio Relations Tom Lucas said. "We are excited to partner with Warner Bros. again to bring back The Death of Superman and introduce fans to Reign of the Supermen."

Directed by Sam Liu, Reign of the Supermen stars Cameron Monaghan, Jerry O’Connell, Cress Williams, Patrick Fabian, Rebecca Romijn, Nathan Fillion, Rainn Wilson, Toks Olagundoye and Nyambi Nyambi.
