The former SSR Chief from Marvel's "Agent Carter" has officially joined the cast of Netflix's feature manga adaptation of "Death Note."
According to Deadline, Whigham will play James Turer, an internal affairs officer and the father of Light Turner (Nat Wolff). Turner will seek to prove his son's innocence after Interpol begins investigating his connection to the Death Note book.
"Death Note" is based on the Japanese manga which follows the story of a boy who discovers a book that has the power to take a life once a name has been written in it. Netflix recently secured the rights to the film, which will be directed by Adam Wingard.
Whigham's next feature appearances also include Paramount's "Star Trek Beyond" and Universal's "Kong: Skull Island."
