Wonder Woman has been leading the remaining heroes throughout Dark Nights: Death Metal, trying to keep hope alive in a world crushed by the darker influence of the Batman Who Laughs. Now, she's recruited one of the most dangerous armies she's ever worked with, all towards a vital mission to defeat the Darkest Knight.

As she leaps into the final battle to determine the fate of the DC Universe in Dark Nights: Death Metal #5, Wonder Woman has some unexpected allies in the Main Men, an army of Lobo clones.

Wonder Woman Lobo Army Death Metal

With the Darkest Knight is currently engaged in a battle with Perpetua to determine the future of the DC Multiverse, the remaining heroes have been forced into some dire circumstances. But a handful of plans remain that could give the heroes the edge they need to save everything. Part of the plan requires utilizing the Metal X Shards that Lobo has been hunting down across the universe to make a machine that could actually produce Anti-Crisis Energy -- a source of power that might be enough to counter the Crisis Energy amassed by the Darkest Knight.

While they may result in Wonder Woman's friends permanently suffering the ramifications of Death Metal, she and the rest of the remaining heroes and villains decide it's worth it to ensure the future can even exist. Wonder Woman's part of the plan will force her to reach the World-Forge, which can be accessed through the Rock of Eternity. But Wonder Woman is quick to say she won't be able to do it alone, asking for some help from the Main Man himself. Due to his regenerative powers, Lobo can survive almost any kind of attack in creation. But on top of that, a single drop of his blood will eventually heal up enough to form an entirely new Lobo.

Arriving at the downed Rock of Eternity and receiving the Journal of Carter Hall from Lex Luthor -- along with some surprisingly encouraging words of wisdom from the villain -- Wonder Woman and her army of Lobo's leaps into the fray. Calling them her "Made Men," the alien warriors might be one of the most deadly armies in the history of the DC Universe. If each of them contains the same healing powers as the original Lobo, there's very little that can be done to stop them. If Wonder Woman needed an army by her side to help save the multiverse, then she may have picked one of the most effective ones possible.

Although what remains between them and the World-Forge might be fearsome, it certainly gives Wonder Woman the chance to help restore the world and all the people she loves -- even if it risks losing some of her best friends in the process. While it's unlikely the Made Men will continue to be a presence in a post-Death Metal DC Universe, it does suggest that Lobo at any point could arrive with a veritable army of copies by his side. If anything, it should give Lobo some ideas on how to deal with massive threats again down the line, if he can stand his copies long enough to actually work with them.
