The Darkest Knight's final plan for the DC Multiverse includes breaking it apart and fostering the growth of his twisted new Fark Multiverse. Among the Last 52 realities created by the Darkest Knight are the makings of a powerful and evil Justice League.

Now, we're taking a closer look at the twisted heroes the Robin King speaks about in Dark Nights Death Metal: The Multiverse That Laughs #1, and how they corrupt some of DC's greatest heroes.

SUPERMAN

Dark Multiverse Superman

In most realities, Kal-El is the Last Son of Krypton who just barely escaped the destruction of his homeworld within a rocket and landed on Earth. But in one dark world hinted at by the Robin King, the rocket ended up passing through a highly radioactive cosmic storm on the way to the planet. This altered the DNA of the Kryptonian: he no longer sustained himself on sunlight alone. Instead, it was consuming human flesh that strengthened Superman, who quickly decimated his new world.

WONDER WOMAN

Dark Multiverse Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman's status as a member of the Greek Pantheon has been explored in the past. But in one reality teased by Robin King, Wonder Woman decided against trying to change the world by bringing peace to humanity. Instead, she brought war to Mount Olympus and embraced her full powers. With each God she defeated, Wonder Woman gained their power. By the time she confronted her father Zeus, she wrapped her lasso around his neck and used to pull off his head. With this, Diana absorbed the power of Zeus himself and seemingly transformed into living lightning.

FLASH

Dark Multiverse Flash

The Flash of the Final 52 had nothing but good intentions when he shared his powers with the rest of the world. In theory, doing so would allow all of humanity to utilize the Speed Force just as well as the Flash could. But instead, things quickly devolved into chaos. The Speed Force turned humanity into predators who attacked each other at increasing speeds. Entire civilizations were constructed in seconds, before crumbling even faster. Soon, humanity had all but evolved to the end of their existence, while in reality, it had only been hours since the Flash had accidentally doomed his entire race.

GREEN LANTERN

Dark Multiverse John Stewart Sinestro Corps

The greatest tragedy John Stewart has ever been involved in was the destruction of Xanshi during the events of Cosmic Odyssey. In one reality though, failing to save that planet sent John on a far darker path. Horrified by his actions, fear took hold of John's heart and festered within him. This made it far easier for Parallax to possess him instead of Hal Jordan, leading to a far more restrained -- but effective -- Parallax. John's good intentions -- ensuring no world ended up like Xanshi again -- led him to utilize Green Lantern rings to create an army and conquer the galaxy in the name of safety.

AQUAMAN

Dark Multiverse Trench Aquaman

Aquaman is the son of two worlds, with a human father and an Atlantean mother. But in one of the Darkest Knight's worlds, Aquaman wasn't born with human features. Instead, he instead more resembled the darker, more monstrous creatures of the deep. Fleeing the surface, Aquaman was raised within the Trench. Becoming a ruthless killer, this Aquaman did not learn to defend both land and sea. Instead, he set off a chain of events that flooded the entire world and wiped out billions of lives.

MARTIAN MANHUNTER

Dark Multiverse Martian Manhunter

While the Martian Manhunter usually becomes a dedicated protector of his adopted home, that isn't the case in this Dark Multiverse. Instead of becoming a hero, J'onn J'onzz tries to find a way to restore the Martian race, even at the cost of humanity. This Martian Manhunter -- who never puts on a humanoid appearance -- soon starts to use humans as hosts for new Martians, which grow inside a living person before bursting from their chests. The situation is very reminiscent of the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise or Marvel's Brood aliens, and it's a grisly reinvention of the Martian Manhunter.

LOIS LANE

Dark Multiverse Lois Lane Superwoman

The only human hero in this Dark Multiverse menagerie is Lois Lane, and she might just be the most dangerous version of the charater ever. This Lois turned her back against the heroes of the DC Universe and rallied humanity to war against them. Her war proved successful, with Lois even claiming the spoils of war. She wears a body armor similar to either Steel or Lex Luthor during his brief sting as Superman. She wields five Power Rings, wears Batman's utility belt, and carries Aquaman's trident -- with Superman's skull firmly planted beneath its prongs.
