Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, isn’t exactly the easiest person to get along with. An immature, former assassin with a penchant for using over-the-top obscene humor, it’s no wonder that he often ends up alienating the people closest to him. Deep within, however, Deadpool has a heart of gold. Because of that fact, he has made several super hero friends.

Whether it was romance, shared interests or merely the an uncommon alliance that developed into an understanding of one another, there have been plenty of superhero friends that have become Deadpool’s friends over the past few years. Some of these relationships make more sense than others, but all of them are genuine.

10 Siryn

Siryn, the daughter of longtime X-Men team member Banshee, actually became Deadpool’s friend earlier on in the character’s history. For a time, she was actually even more than just a friend.

Between missions fighting alongside the X-Men, Deadpool would spend his time trying to win over Siryn’s affections. It worked, at least for a time. Eventually, as was the case with most of Deadpool’s lovers, she moved on.

9 Daredevil

Deadpool Daredevil feautre

When these two heroes first met, Daredevil hated Deadpool. It’s no wonder, considering the fact that Deadpool is a violent killer and Daredevil has a personal code against killing.

Deadpool reformed his ways and became a hero, however. Although Daredevil hated him at first, Deadpool’s heart of gold and quick wit quickly won the horn-head over. By the end of their encounter, DD even cracked a smile at one of Deadpool’s jokes.

8 Copycat

Copycat was not only a friend to Deadpool during their time together. She was also a lover. In fact, Copycat is one of the Merc with a Mouth’s most notable love interests from his comic book history.

Unfortunately, for Deadpool, Copycat betrayed him in the end. Despite that, while the two heroes were together, it was quite a close relationship that they shared. Although, it later turned out that her memories of their relationship had been wiped by the Weapon X program, so maybe these two still have hope if her memories are restored some day.

7 Captain America

Deadpool with Captain America Secret Empire era

This was certainly a friendship that no one saw coming. While Captain America is about as straight-laced as any hero can get, Deadpool has spent his whole career proving to the world that he is anything but.

Despite that, the two characters did end up become friends around the time Deadpool became an Avenger. Wade was trying his best to fully change his ways of becoming a legit superhero and Cp, being the stand-up guy that he is, wanted to be there for him as a mentor.

6 Rogue

Rogue is another member of this list that not only became Deadpool’s friend but also, later on, a love interest. Deadpool had been attracted to Rogue for quite some time. When she returned his feelings it was quite the surprise.

It actually makes quite a bit of sense that these two characters gravitated toward one another. Both used to be villains and have a dark past filled with violence. They truly understand each other better than nearly any other hero could.

5 Colossus

Colossus and Deadpool had always been allies but following the release of Deadpool's first live-action movie, the two are now inextricably linked as best-buddies. As is the case with most superhero movies, this relationship is destined to transition from the movies to comic books.

Colossus is essentially the Captain America of the Avengers -- a straight-laced hero with a no-nonsense attitude. Due to this fact, Colussus severs perfectly as a partner to Deadpool. He is essentially the straight man to the wacky, insane, somewhat-psychopath that is Deadpool.

4 Wolverine

Wolverine is a hard guy to get along with. If you get on his bad side, you might end up finding yourself one limb short of a full set. Luckily for Deadpool, he has a healing factor powerful enough to replace that limb once Wolverine dismembers it.

Like many of the other heroes on this list, Wolverine did not like Deadpool at first. As time went on, however, Deadpool grows on the grump X-Men leader. Now, the two superhumans enjoy teaming up (although Wolverine still gets annoyed by all of Deadpool's bad jokes).

3 Domino

Deadpool and Domino

Another one-time lover of Deadpool's, Domino is one of the characters most often associated with Deadpool. Fighting alongside one another on the X-Force, along with dozens of other occasions, these two heroes have quite the working history at this point.

Domino is yet another hero that serves as a sort of straight man to the wise-cracking Merc with a Mouth. The fact that they both kill their enemies is another tie that binds them. Many of the other heroes on this list hate that aspect of Deadpool's character, but Domino doesn't mind.

2 Spider-Man

In the ongoing series Spider-Man/Deadpool, these two heroes fostered a relationship that will likely last a lifetime. Before coming together, Spider-Man had some serious reservations about the Merc with a Mouth --  for good reason.

In the end, however, Deadpool proved himself worthy to the wall-crawler. While he stumbled a few times during their series, reverting back to his old ways, Deadpool sincerely wanted to change and did so for the sake of becoming a true hero. As his friend and mentor, Spider-Man could not have been more proud of his somewhat psychotic new best-buddy.

1 Cable

Deadpool and Cable as Marvel's oddest couple

No hero is more closely associated with Deadpool than Cable is. The time-traveling soldier has gone on a countless number of adventures with the wise-cracking assassin. He is, for sure, Deadpools best friend -- at least within the superhero community.

The Cable and Deadpool series is now known as one of the most iconic comic book mashup series of all time. Although the Spider-Man/Deadpool team-up series was met with somewhat similar success, nothing even comes close to topping the friendship of these two unlikely allies.
